Rafael Medina
Rafael Medina is a Dominican-American street photographer from Providence, Rhode Island. He’s been documenting the city since 2017 and has found a deep love and appreciation for it through his photographic journey. Rafael has displayed his work in multiple galleries and spaces in Rhode Island and released his self published photo book titled Dear PVD, a photographic Love letter to Providence.
Rakeem Peace
Rakeem Peace is an artist originally from St.Thomas U.S Virgin Islands and is now based out of Providence, RI. He’s a visual artist whose art is focused towards community and culture.
Christine Del Castillo she/her
Christine Del Castillo is a writer from Metro Manila, Philippines, who is now based in Providence, RI. She has an MA in Cultural Production from Brandeis University and is an alumna of Nostos Screenwriting Retreats. Most recently, she was a 2023 winner of the City of Cambridge's Cambridge Sidewalk Poetry competition.
DVirtuosity she/they
I’m a third generation Puerto Rican, Mexican Native, and European self-taught street artist of 15 years from the Providence-Woonsocket line. With indigenous roots in South Central LA, I tap into a colorful lineage of artists to depict life’s turbulences and joys. An undertone of mental health narratives and fanart are heavily present across my work. I have showcased in contemporary art spaces in Worcester MA, Providence RI, and Bristol CT challenging onlookers to divulge in the fun side of refined art. I’ve partnered with brands such as Fidelity, As220, and Amherst Recreation to help educate and inspire creativity in a variety of formats.
Marlisse Payamps she/her
Marlisse Payamps is a Providence, RI born and based portrait and event photographer. As a first generation Dominican-American, culture and connectedness are important themes in her work, sharing images of family, community and exploration.
Nidal Fakhouri
Nidal Fakhouri is a trained computer engineer and self-taught ceramic artist. Coming from both Lebanese-Muslim and American-Jewish heritage, Nidal advocates for the beauty of all of his heritage and for a free Palestine through his work. In addition, his work explores the common ground between the seemingly divergent fields of craft and technology. Function, obsolescence, science, decay, Arab and Muslim patterns and culture and politics are recurrent themes in his work. In addition to his studio practice, he works as an iOS developer and teaches programming and ceramics.
Xiao Guo she/her
Xiao is a craft-based maker and educator, working primarily with fiber and print mediums. She was born and raised in China and moved to the United States to attend RISD, where she earned a BFA in Textiles and is now pursuing an MA in Community-Based Art Education.
Amelia White she/they
Amelia White (b. 1995) is a fine artist and apparel graphics designer from the greater Boston, Massachusetts area. She studied at RISD in Providence, RI and graduated with a BFA in Illustration in 2017. Her work addresses topics like self harm, the autistic experience, and the gaze of gendered bodies in modern society. Their work has been showcased online and in-person at Dorchester Art Project, Boston Compass, Cambridge Art Association, Vacant Museum, East Manning Projects, Bristol Art Museum, Visionary Art Collective, and Katzman Contemporary. Amelia also self-publishes and juries a zine called To All The Men Who’ve Preyed On Me Before.
